The Mission of Mustard Seed Conspiracy is to plant God’s revolutionary kingdom of justice and mercy through the humility of worship, study, and action.
Meetings of Mustard Seed Conspiracy faith community will begin in September 2011. The goal will be to worship God in the manner that God requires: “but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)”
Beginning with a study of the synoptic gospels, Mustard Seed Conspiracy faith community will conspire to plot God’s justice, to plant God’s goodness.
The harvest is God’s Shalom which is the Kingdom of God among us.
The English translation “peace” is an inadequate equivalent. Shalom is the relationship or community guaranteed by the sacred covenant: a harmonious relationship of equilibrium, balancing all claims affecting a common life. Shalom means everyone has enough and each life is of equal value. God’s Shalom subverts all power and wealth, offering justice and mercy in their stead.
